NEW! The Geologic Atlas collection has been updated with a new interface, and now includes GIS sources and support for Google Earth.
The Maps/GIS Unit furthers the mission of the TAMU Libraries by acquiring, managing and delivering geospatial information for members of the Texas A&M University community. Through personal service and expertise, we distribute local, state, national and international geospatial data in print and digital format.
The Maps/GIS Room is located in Room 202 of the Sterling C. Evans Library. The collection consists of over 200,000 individual sheet maps, 3,000 atlases and gazetteers, 3,000 microfiche, and 1000 CD-ROMS. The Maps/GIS Room has a GIS workstation for digital mapping support. The Maps/GIS Room provides service to all colleges and agencies associated with TAMU, as well as members of the local community.
